A SWOT analysis doesn't only apply on businesses but on personal growth as well. A SWOT analysis towards the self would bring self awareness and hence, one can easily acknowledge his or her traits, room to improve their current condition and build a good personal branding (Wislow, 2017). Students were required to create a SWOT analysis of themselves. For this activity, a total of 20 minutes was spent thinking and analyzing personal strengths and weaknesses. To determine the personal character, certain memories were recalled to analyse the responses or feelings felt from a previous experience or situation. Besides, a few close friends were selected to know the way they perceived the person or individual and were asked about the strengths weakness and first impression. Lastly, as seen below is the SWOT analysis created.

Strength
The past achievements and challenges have proven that strong organizational skills, time management skills are needed to be implemented in daily routines to make sure that end goals and best results are achieved. Besides, as an competitive person that constantly seeks for self development, critics and mistakes made have been taken into account as they build critical thinking skills and contribute to self development. Another strength that was mentioned was the fine writing skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese trained by both reading and writing at a young age. Lastly, having a honours degree could possibly stand out from candidates with a diploma holder.
Weakness
People in the fashion industry are mainly outgoing and sociable. In order to have good connections and good people skills, one must fight against their introverted nature. At the moment, the author is seeking to expand and build her limited network or exposure in the industry. Besides, as a goal-oriented person, stress often happens in life and the ways of managing stress still needs to be improved. Another weakness spotted is having basic skills in photography and editing which is aimed to be improved as it will be really beneficial for people who works in the creative industry.
Opportunity
Internship programs, competitions and industry participation is a good way for fashion students to get into the fashion industry and expend their network. Besides, they are able to develop professional skills such as people skills, organizational skills, creative skills needed to survive in the industry. Besides, the accessibility of WGSN, Business of Fashion and all sorts of professional industry websites would provide the opportunity to explore and learn about industry insights. To enhance basic photography and editing skills, participating workshops or working side jobs for a photographer would help as well. The growth of fashion startups in Malaysia is rising which brings job opportunities for students.
Threats
Competition among international graduates are one of the threats found as international students might have a wider experience in the fashion industry. Besides, the state of being uncertain before graduating might affect in planning future career goals. Low job opportunities in the Malaysia fashion industry limits the possibility of expanding and reaching for a wider career goal. The advancement of technology which slowly ventures into the fashion industry or retail experience could possibly replace human workforce as well.
