The first class of Marketing Future took place on 17th of October 2018. The class lecturer introduced the course outline and documents needed to be delivered from the students by the end of the semester. Ironically, the students in this class will be applying for an internship in the next semester. Therefore, this class is the best fit to get students ready for interviews and job openings in the future.
The importance of self branding was then delivered in class. A good personal branding does not only mean having authenticity, it helps in making a candidate stand out from the rest. Based on an article published by Fast Company.com, personal branding can be either an unique personality or style of an individual, a professional history or even a natural talent that stands out from the crowd (SALTZMAN, 2015). The students have to identify who is their target audience establish a personal brand and deliver their goals, vision and to the targeted audience.
After explaining, the author had started to think about who is her targeted audience and what is her unique personality, strengths, weakness, that differs her from the rest. A personality mind map was created to analyse her personality.

According to 16personalities.com, the author's personality code is INFJ-T which means introverted, intuitive, feeling, judging and turbulent (16 personalities, 2018).
As a third year student of International Fashion Business, the author have thought of her future job possibilities that she is currently interested in, a fashion stylist. Hence, her targeted audience would be brands, magazines or even private clients. To best fit the skills and responsibilities of a fashion stylist, the author is constantly improving herself to be a people person, able to multitask and her time management.
According to individual research in Entrepreneur Asia Pacific, there are 6 useful digital tools that are able to build and improve one's personal branding (Erskine, 2016). The 6 useful websites provide services such as creating curriculum vitae, track growth metrics, increase network and so on (Erskine, 2016).

So far, the author herself had have used Canva, Linkedin, Behance and Wix website to create her portfolio, resume, mood boards and so on.
