Contribution made to the shortlisted teams

During last week's PDP 3 class (25/10/2018), a total of 8 teams proposed a fashion event that they would like to organize as a class. After eliminating 5 teams by vote counts, 3 teams with the highest vote count were assigned to acknowledge feedback obtained from lecturer and students and improve their ideas and present it to the class again on Week 3 which was yesterday (1/11/2018). This time, each members from the eliminated teams were distributed into the selected teams to assist them throughout the process of amending their proposed fashion event. However, final decisions were still in the hands of the original members of the group. After being put into the shortlisted team as mentioned in the beginning of this post, individual task was being distributed to the new temporary members and expected to be carried out by Monday's group meeting on 29/11/2018.

The task given was to source designers and clothes associated with the new event theme "Wu Xing" which was decided by the shortlisted team members. To complete the task, a research was conducted to obtain the contact number and email address of the designers. Designers chosen are all local to provide a good platform for them to showcase their collections and support Malaysia's fashion industry. Besides, there is a higher opportunity to get local designer's agreement to loan their collection pieces compared to international big brands. The task was completed with a designers contact list which is not advised to be uploaded due to privacy reasons and a presentation slide to show the images and options available from a few designers which are Melinda Looi, Khoon Hooi, Pearly Wong, Harvee Kok and Raffles College Alumni - Nazia Rahman.
