2ND BATCH PLATINUM SPONSORS


Sponsorship request emails are sent batch by batch, the 1st batch being the biggest brand / sponsors the event would love to have. Giving a time frame of 3-4 days for the sponsors to read through the event proposal and letter, a follow up email were then sent to all the 1st batch sponsors. Besides, to speed things up, the PR team called and left a message informing them about the sponsorship request email in each sponsor's Instagram page as well. At the same time, the 2nd batch of sponsorship request email were sent to all the selected 2nd batch potential sponsors as seen below.


As the PR team have low expectation of getting the 1st batch sponsors to agree due to a few aspect as follows:

1) To get bigger brands to sponsor the event, it takes a minimum of 2 - 3 months ahead to apply and get the chance, however, the confirmation of event was only taken place at week 6 which is only 8 weeks before the event.

2) There is a big possibility that the brand / company have locked their sponsorship activity / exceeded their sponsorship quota.

3) The scale of the event might not be big enough for big brands to reach their specific requirements / target through the event.


Therefore, the PR team changed their strategy in finding the next few batch of sponsors where they start to reach our for local brands who are expanding or might need a little help from through sponsorship as such events are able to increase their brand exposure.


2nd Batch Platinum Sponsors

The 2nd batch sponsors consists of local brands specializing in makeup, accessories, home decor, stationery, clothing apparel, candles and hygiene products. The reason why these brands are selected is because many of the brands are using locally made organic materials, provide customization service and selling hand crafted products, hence it suits the event focus on gathering all local creative communities together in the event. These brands are targeting similar age group as the participants of the event as well.


The brands featured in the slides are:

1) ana tomy

2) Wunderbath

3) Areum.beau

4) Feithe.co

5) Hey. Skin

6) Lilin + Co

7) Psychedelic Store

8) Aurelia Atelier

9) Kotak Hitam


All of the above brands were spotted selling their products in Publika Shopping Mall. The brands were the selected few brands among the rest as the other brands were selling products that seems unsuitable or irrelevant to the event. Hence, the brand's target market wouldn't be the participants of the event. So, there is no point asking for sponsorship from the brands. The PR team then decided to get the selected brand's business card / brand name and reach our to them. The PR team sent a formal email to all brands just like how they did for the 1st batch sponsors. Right after sending the email, the PR team left a message to each of the brand through their Instagram and even Whatsapp-ed the brands since some of the brands left their number on their website / social media page. The reason why the PR team did not wait for 3 - 4 days for the brand to view their proposal just like that they did for the bigger brands (1st batch sponsors) is because the 2nd batch sponsors are smaller, local brands. The marketing team of the 2nd batch sponsors might not be checking their business email everyday. Therefore, different tactics of reaching out the brands differs according to how big the brand is.


The 2nd batch sponsors listed above are fully handled by the writer from requesting for sponsorship process, updating, follow up, have a meeting for discussion to confirmation and getting any materials from them. There are more 2nd batch sponsors that is handled by the other PR team member which she will be mentioning in her blog post.
