OLD & NEW CV

The new CV draft contains the latest information and improved layout or details needed for the preferred internship position. After drafting it out, students were required to compare their new CV towards the old CV to make sure appropriate amendments are made. As seen below is the old CV that was created 3 months ago. The old CV was a page long and contains details of all working experience which made it very compact. According to Ms. Wong, the old CV was focusing too much on the working experience as there's hardly any details introduction or personal details.

The new CV was tailored for the position of PR & Communication intern in Chanel. Certain job positions that seemed irrelevant towards the job position that was applying for were taken out. Besides, visuals were added into the new CV such as a profile picture and ranting or grading bars. Besides, an introduction and professional skills tailored for the specific job position were added as well. Since grading bars were not used in the old CV, this is the first time where grading bars were experimented. However, the traditional descriptive grading system was still preferred as it is much more simpler for the recruiter to understand.

As seen above is the amendment made for the curriculum vitae. In the next post, students were required to write a cover letter for the preferred company.
